Resources and facilities

Our platforms

Leading immunotherapy center:

extensive immune assays, immune checkpoint discovery, Tumor infiltrating lymphocytes isolation, adoptive cell therapy, TCR genetic engineering.

GMP unit for gene therapy:

GMP labs that allow for GMP preclinical and clinical research, enabling the performance of clinical trials.

Clinician- scientists:

Physicians who treat patients with a deep understanding of the pathology and the processes that lead to it. They bring together scientific achievements with the unmet needs of cancer patients.

Hadassah tissue bank
(a part of the national MIDGAM project):

The tissue bank provides access to tissues and other biosamples, enabling high throughput screening of genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics. The tissue bank will support the innovative Organoid Lab, established these days by The Research Fund of Hadassah. Organoids (and tumoroids) are composite tissue cultures that simulate live tissue. They are ideal for drug discovery and basic biology studies.

HaYadata database for
information management and documentation:

This dynamic reservoir of information provides real-time insights into response to treatments. This extensive pool of data yields a broad spectrum of information that is used to search for biomarkers, e.g., prognostic predictors and specific response biomarkers, which will materialize the

Dedicated laboratories:

The HCRC has several labs and GMP units fully equipped to perform all the experimental work relevant for cancer translational research.

The Wohl Institute for Translational Medicine of Hadassah Ein Kerem:

offers state-of-the-art technologies enabling visualization, digitization, and image analysis, spanning from molecular resolution to in vivo rodent imaging. The Institute has two optical imaging systems for luminance and fluorescence high throughput imaging (IVIS Spectrum and IVIS Lumina), a dedicated high-resolution ultrasound (VEVO3100) combined with photoacoustics (Lazer X), a 7T PET-MRI for anatomical and functional studies and a micro PET-CT system.

Hebrew University Interdepartmental
Equipment Division:

Equipment available to the HCRC researchers includes spectrophotometers (BMC Galaxy Fluorostar and Luminometer), lyophilizers, nanodrop, liquid nitrogen and FACS facilities.

Authority for Biological
and Biomedical Models:

The Authority, a fully accredited AAALAC institute, operates several SPF (specific pathogen-free) animal facilities within the Hadassah – Hebrew University Medical Center Campus. The Sharett Institute SPF animal facility provides quarters for storage and maintenance of non-reproducing animals designated for research.
